Alik is a government relations professional with a successful record of providing strategic advice for a variety of client mandates including finance, transportation, labour, telecommunications, digital and entertainment, health and consumer products.
Prior to joining Summa, Alik worked as a government relations consultant in the private sector and gained a solid understanding of the legislative process and the policy-making environment. Alik has strong analytic, strategic and relationship-building skills that are supported by cross-disciplinary experience in areas such as government relations, law, communications and event planning. She is highly skilled in developing and executing strategies for clients at both the federal and provincial levels.
Alik is a licensed lawyer and holds a civil law degree and a Juris Doctor common law degree, from which she graduated with honours, from the University of Ottawa. Prior to obtaining her two law degrees, Alik earned a bachelor of arts in political science from Dalhousie University.
Alik is fluent in English, French and Armenian. She is a member of the Government Relations Institute of Canada (GRIC) Board of Directors and is the Ottawa Chair of Lawn Summer Nights, a national fundraiser for Cystic Fibrosis.
